Based in Malaysia, the Cheetah Group's (MYX: 7209) principal activity is designing, product development, marketing and retailing of sports apparel and accessories and casual wear. The brands are Cheetah, Cth Unlimited, Cheetah Junior, Cheetah Ladies, C.Union and C2.
In late 2006, the company has allocated RM25mil for acquisition and diversification purposes. Cheetah, via wholly owned unit Cheetah Marketing Sdn Bhd, in October 2006 signed an agreement with Woolworths Group for the exclusive rights to manufacture, store, distribute, promote and sell Ladybird merchandise in Malaysia and Singapore.
It also entered into a conditional share subscription agreement in November 2006 to invest RM700,000 for 75% equity in Above Fashion House Sdn Bhd.
Above Fashion House retails and distributes ladies' fashion accessories made from Swarovski crystals under the brand name of Above and Jolie.
